I love this book. The first time I heard it read to a class I nearly cried because it is so sweet. A great follow-up activity is to have a child create something challenging that they may have been afraid of trying.

This book is very funny. I recommend this book to reluctant readers. The bright, appealing cover has influenced a child's decision to check it out many times. Sometimes you can judge a book by its' cover, especially when it is a book with pictures!

This book is an emotional one that allows for much discussion. The watercolor illustrations are beautiful.
